Privacy Policy

Timed ("the app", "we") is a family chores and rewards app operated by Pedro Santos. Timed is built for families: there are no ads, no third-party tracking, and we never sell your data. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information — your email address and the display name you choose, used to create and sign in to your account.
Family content you create — family name, tasks, rewards, reminders, comments, and the XP/coin balances that result from using the app. This content is visible to the members of your family only.
Push notification token — a device token, if you enable notifications, so we can deliver alerts about tasks and reminders.
Usage data — basic technical logs (such as API requests and errors) used to keep the service running and debug problems.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or any advertising identifiers.

How we use it

To provide the app: sync your family's tasks, rewards and progress across devices.
To send the notifications and reminders you ask for.
To secure the service and fix bugs.

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Timed, acting on our behalf:

Google Firebase Authentication — sign-in and account management.
Microsoft Azure — application hosting and database storage.
Expo / Google / Apple push services — delivery of push notifications.

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Children

Timed is designed to be used by families together. A child's profile is created and managed inside a family set up by a parent or guardian, who controls the family's membership through its invite code. We collect from children only what is needed to run the app (display name, email for sign-in, and their in-app activity), and never use children's data for marketing.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app; this permanently removes your account and personal data. If you are the last member of a family, the family and all of its content are deleted too. You can also email us at support@timed.app to request deletion.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Most of this can be done directly in the app; for anything else, contact us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
